What are the File Storage Limits in Quercus?

Updated on

This guide provides information about File Storage Quotas for Quercus courses, Groups and Personal accounts. Understanding the file structure and storage limits in Quercus will help you strategize the best ways to use documents and media files in your course.

In Quercus, there are three different types of storage. Here are the types with their storage limits:

  1. Quercus course storage: 3GB (3000 MB)
  2. Personal storage: 50 MB
  3. Group storage: 50 MB

Storage quotas cannot be increased. If you have reached your Quercus course, group or personal storage limit, you will need host your documents and media files outside of Quercus. We recommend hosting large video files on MyMedia or MS Stream and sharing the play link or embedding the video on a Quercus page. Large documents can be uploaded to your Microsoft OneDrive or SharePoint.

For more details on this process, please see our guide: Where should I host my large video files?
