How do I sign up for system notifications (e.g. outages, updates)?

UofT's Information Technology Services (ITS) manages a system status page that encompasses most of the supported IT and EdTech Systems at the university. Instead of having to manually visit the page if you are wondering if there is a known or reported issue with a system, you can subscribe to updates about the specific systems that you use.

We recommend signing up for notifications for the systems critical to you!

How to sign up for ITS System Notifications

1. Subscribe to Updates

  1. Select the "Subscribe to Updates" button
  2. Enter your email address (Recommended: Subscribe using your @utoronto.ca email)
  3. Select the "Subscribe via email" button

2. Customize your system updates

There are several categories of systems (e.g. Academic Toolbox, AMS, Client Support Services). We recommend reviewing the options and seeing which ones are relevant to you; for teaching, the systems in the Academic Toolbox category would be especially relevant.

2.1. Sign up for Academic Toolbox Updates

For Quercus updates, please ensure "Quercus" is selected.

2.2. Sign up for Video-Mediated Communications

For MyMedia updates, please ensure "Other" is selected. Note: An upcoming change will have MyMedia as its own service.
