Leverage existing development supports and resources

Updated on

There's a lot of resources out there - we think these are come of the best ideas, if you have the time to read and participate. If you don't, you might want to skip to the quick guide for online/remote teaching.

Getting started with existing resources

  1. Read and digest published resources from CTSI, OISE, Association of College and University Educators, etc. - they are the experts and they know what the research says (see existing resources for online/remote course design).
  2. If you have time and are interested in hearing about your peers experiences,' join a local (or not so local) community of practice.
  3. Sign up for a training or support session (these are often held live via webinars and are recorded, if you miss one)
  4. Sign up for newsletters (building your background in online/remote design takes times and newsletters are a great way to get information in digestible chunks)
  5. Watch recorded sessions from our Lessons Learned Webinar Series

Visit U of T’s Global Calendar to Support Online/Remote Teaching to see training and design sessions from across the three campuses (including CTSI events).
