Track U of T system updates and outages

When using a tool, there might come a time where you are asking yourself, "is this not working because of something I am doing or is the tool itself down?" To help you answer that question, the ITS System Status Page provides an overview of current service status messages (and scheduled maintenance) for major University of Toronto systems and services. You may contact the Joint Operations Group (JOG) using the e-mail [email protected] or by calling 416-978-4621. The JOG is staffed Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm.

1. Review current system status of U of T Services

While there are many systems which you might select to monitor, in particular you might want to check:

  1. Under Academic Toolbox: Quercus, Turnitin
  2. Under Video-Mediated Communications: MS Stream, TechSmith SnagIt
  3. Under Identity Management Systems:
  4. Under VPN: UTORvpn systems
  5. Under Student Web Services: ACORN, ROSI

2. Subscribe to System Updates

  1. Subscribe to System Updates: Located in the top right header area of the System Status Page, select on the "Subscribe to Updates" button at the top of this page and select the method(s) by which you want to receive system status updates.
  2. Enter your Non-UofT email address.
  3. Select on Subscribe.

For e-mail notifications, ITS recommends using a non-UofT email address so that you will still receive notifications in the event there is an outage that prevents access to university email services.
